git back to work

happy day 2 of blogging!

heading back to work was really depressing. but the bright side of the new year is making resolutions. my resolutions are to revive some old activities. the obvious one... writing, this blog.

i surprised myself with the second. yesterday i pulled my guitar out of the closet and started strumming. actually, i was doing cleaning and saw my chord chart in a pile on the floor. i had forgotten how to read the chord charts and switched over to my lesson books. then i realized i had forgotten how to read tabs. so i plucked the strings for a while and made pretty noises. eventually, it all started coming back to me. it didn't sound all that great, but hopefully it'll improve with time. and then my fingers just started to hurt from the strings. argh.

actually, i haven't asked him yet, but i am hoping craig will give me some random lessons :)

then lastnight, i was chatting on msn with my friend nance, and we decide this is the year we both go to europe for the first time...ever! we are thinking italy? and then maybe i'll go back to china and finally see the great wall. anyone else in?

next thing, renew my passport.

tomorrow i will post some pictures of my new area rug and tomato red chair for jane to see. the new place feels like it's starting to come together. finally! if only the nice things didn't cost so much money.
