long lost produce
just before christmas, i bought some ginger at the grocery store to use in a batch of ginger cookies i planned on baking for the family. i couldn't find it when i went to get everything ready, so i used the rest of some older ginger i had in the fridge.
when i was at the checkout this afternoon, i handed my cloth bags over to the girl. when she reached into my green bag, she pulled out the clump of ginger i bought before christmas. it was kind of embarassing. "oh. that's where it went," i said. i had to explain that i hadn't stolen it, and it was stray ginger that i actually paid for over two weeks ago. she dropped it back into the bag rather than keep holding it. whoops. it sucks because i needed some more ginger and they were all out today.
in fact they were out of so many things that were on my list, my whole meal plan for the week has been thrown off. so frustrating.

oh man... i've done that before but with big wedge of gouda!
that sucks! gouda costs waaaaay more than ginger.
