happy christmas

i've been out enjoying the pretty white stuff blowing and floating all around. luckily my last day of work was thursday, so i was able to stay indoors friday and laugh at everybody on the street. but i got restless and was thankful that rhonda called and woke me up from my heat-induced sleep around 7 p.m. i got ready to meet her at the mall.

last year after the first big blizzard my feet became soaked and toes frost bitten. i went straight up to get outside and spent the best $124 of the year on a pair of sorel boots. seriously, they make going out in the snow enjoyable. so i didn't hesitate going out into the bitter cold. the ONLY problem is, i think the lining in my boots is creating static charges that send tiny electric shocks through my earbuds. i've been experiencing jolts lately and i've only realized it's been happening since i started wearing my boots this season.

work has slowed down thankfully, not only because of the holidays, but because the major project i was working on finally wrapped up. it went really well, and we got great feedback from the customer and internally. the stress of it caused me to raise my voice a few times and give people a piece of my mind - in hindsight, it made me reflect on the way i deal with people and how to hold back when i'm irritated, not complain so much. the next time someone said something stupid, i looked around for my friend and co-worker, he wasn't at his desk and he wasn't signed into MSN. so i forgot about it. and you know what? it felt good to not complain! who knew? i will try to keep this up. something to work on for the new year - i'm generally a happy person, but when it comes to work...

back to gift wrapping, my parents are dropping by later to take some gift to b-ville for me. yay! merry christmas!

Any update on the electricity? I'm thinking about buying the same boots but with the houndstooth pattern.... Kelly

No electric shocks lately, I haven't been wearing them! But it happens EVERY time I have those earbuds and boots on.
